Other companies, such as Apple, have implemented take-back and repair programs for their products to reduce the amount of waste created, and Cruz Foam based out of Santa Cruz, California is busy making a replacement for polystyrene-based foam out of chitin- an organic compound found in things like fungi and shrimp shells.
The Circular Economy is an essential step toward creating a more sustainable future. By taking advantage of this model, businesses can make a real impact on the environment and create a more efficient and resilient economy.
